Remembering Eva Gabor February 11, 1919 - July 4, 1995

Eva Gabor was a Hungarian born American actress and socialite.  She was one of the famed Gabor sisters that also included Zsa Zsa and Magda.

She is probably most remembered for her role as "Lisa Douglas" in the popular television sitcom "Green Acres" that co-starred actor Eddie Albert.  The series ran from 1965-71.  She was the voice of "Duchess" in the Disney film, The Aristocrats and "Miss Bianca" in "The Rescuers" "The Rescuers Down Under" and the "Queen of Time" in "Nutcracker Fantasy."  Other film roles include "The Last Time I Saw Paris" starring Liz Taylor, "Artists and Models" with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis and "Justice"  She also was given her own television show "The Eva Gabor Show"  Near the end of her career, she was a game show contestant in "What's My Line"and "Match Game"

Eva was also a very successful in business having marketed beauty products, wigs, and clothing.

Eva Gabor died on July 4, 1995 from pneumonia and respiratory failure as the result of a fall while vacationing in Mexico.  She was 76 years of age.


Following her funeral service, she was laid to rest in the Westwood Village Memorial Park in Westwood, Los Angeles.  Her grave is near the resting place of her fellow actor, Eddie Albert.
